Horizon Surgery Center Beaches located on the campus of Baptist Medical Center our physician-led ambulatory surgery center is dedicated to delivering high-quality patient-centered outpatient care. The facility features three active operating rooms specializing in Orthopedic Hand General Surgery and Neuro-Spine procedures.

Role Summary:
The Operating Room RN provides direct patient care and serves as a patient advocate in the operating room. This role supports surgeons and anesthesia providers ensuring patient safety comfort and dignity throughout the perioperative process.

Hours:

• MondayFriday schedule hours variable

• No nights weekends holidays or call

What Youll Do:

• Serve as circulating nurse supporting patients surgeons and anesthesia staff during procedures

• Prepare and maintain a safe sterile and efficient operating environment

• Accurately assess patient needs provide reassurance and involve families in care decisions when appropriate

• Collaborate with the surgical team and communicate effectively with patients physicians and colleagues

• Support patient safety risk management and quality improvement initiatives

• Participate in staff education orientation and professional development

• Organize and manage supplies equipment and staff for effective case management

What Youll Bring:

• Active RN license

• Current BLS and ACLS certification

• Associates degree or higher in nursing

• Perioperative nursing experience preferred

• Strong teamwork communication and patient-advocacy skills

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

• Frequent standing walking and lifting

• Occasional stooping kneeling or climbing

• Regular interaction with patients of all ages in a fast-paced surgical environment

• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs (occasionally up to 100 lbs) and meet physical demands of the role
