Job Summary
The Operations and Gallery Specialist assists in managing systems and workflows to support the services of the Michael C. Carlos Museum. This position serves as a primary information source at the point of entry overseeing the museum visitor experience while providing gallery and facility access.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides exemplary customer service to visitors including directional and informational assistance membership enrollment and cash management.
- Assists with student Gallery Attendant training. Provides support as needed for museum events projects and promotions.
- Ensures safe and secure spaces and the protection of art works.
- Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in customer service facility security or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of computer skills visitor services and safety protocols is preferred.
NOTE: Position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; working remote is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to employee.
