On-Air Personality (Morning Co-Host)

Connoisseur Media Fredericksburg VA is looking for an energetic creative and engaging On-Air Personality to join Todays New Country 93.3 WFLS-FM for our morning show.If youre someone who loves radio thrives on live interaction has a strong connection to the community and knows how to turn great ideas into compelling content we want to hear from you!

Were looking for a confident and entertaining communicator who can inform connect with and entertain listeners while bringing a fresh perspective and plenty of personality to the air. This is an opportunity to be more than just a voice behind the microphoneyoull be an active part of the Fredericksburg community creating content interviewing local newsmakers engaging with listeners representing the station at events and helping grow the 93.3 WFLS brand across broadcast digital and social platforms.

• Co-host and contribute to the morning show airing from 5:00 AM 10:00 AM with energy creativity and a strong connection to the audience.
• Primarily voice-track the midday shift on WVBX from 10 AM to 3 PM.
• Research prepare and develop compelling show topics interviews and content that inform and entertain.
• Conduct interviews with newsmakers community leaders and other relevant sources and turn those conversations into engaging on-air and digital content.
• Stay on top of breaking and developing local stories and provide timely market updates.
• Develop original content for the stations website social media platforms and other digital channels.
• Create and edit audio video photos graphics and other multimedia content.
• Engage with listeners on-air online and through social media.
• Participate in station promotions community events live remotes and personal appearances.
• Occasionally work weekends or outside of regular show hours for station events and live broadcasts.
• Execute station contests promotions and appearances accurately and professionally.
• Build positive relationships with listeners clients and members of the local community.
• Work closely with the sales team and clients on live spots endorsements and promotional opportunities.
• Operate the control board and remote broadcast equipment.
• Follow all applicable FCC rules station policies and programming standards.
• Collaborate with management and the station team to develop new ideas and opportunities to grow the show and station.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

• 23 years of on-air radio experience or equivalent professional broadcasting experience.
• A strong engaging on-air personality with the ability to connect naturally with an audience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A passion for radio storytelling pop culture local news and community involvement.
• The creativity and confidence to develop original show ideas and compelling content.
• Strong interviewing skills and the ability to make conversations interesting informative and entertaining.
• Ability to think quickly work independently and perform well in a live fast-paced environment.
• Experience with audio editing software broadcast equipment and control boards.
• Strong digital and social media skills including the ability to create content for multiple platforms.
• Excellent organizational problem-solving and prioritization skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
• A positive collaborative attitude and the ability to work effectively with teammates management sales and clients.
• Professional and comfortable interacting with listeners clients and community members at public events.
• Knowledge of applicable FCC rules and regulations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid drivers license and reliable fully insured personal vehicle.

• Previous experience in the broadcast or radio industry.
• Experience producing or co-hosting a morning show.
• Experience creating video social media and other digital content.
• Strong knowledge of the Fredericksburg community and surrounding market.
• Experience conducting live interviews remotes and station appearances.
