Under the direction of management and/or vice president and physicians as applicable the medical office coordinator coordinates evaluates and gives direction in the overall day-to-day operations of the work area as assigned. This person will work closely with the manager/administrator with established policies and procedures to achieve goals and objectives.In communicating with patients families visitors and employees a caring friendly personal and professional approach is expected. Performs related duties as assigned. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission values and Mercy Service Standards.

MINIMUM Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Licensure: None.
Experience: Two years experience in a healthcare setting and/or supervisory/management experience required.
RESPONSIBILITIES include but not limited to:
Compiles the Health System consolidated monthly financial statements and numerous supporting reports and schedules.
Develops and manages capital and operational clinical unit budgets including monthly variance analysis.
Directs participation in patient satisfaction and office efficiency surveys.
Communicates Press Ganey results with team in a timely manner and takes action to improve upon deficient areas.
Communicates Mercy Service program MAPS program and other System materials to staff in a timely and enthusiastic manner.
Communicates and provides leadership to develop a team.
Takes an active role in seeking solutions/answers to stakeholders concerns and/or suggestions.
Communicates operational issues to appropriate management/administrators departments and physicians as needed.
Collects and reviews data for financial and statistical purposes including invoices and statements.
Generates or collects operational financial reports to verify correct charge entries coding and overall operational reporting.
Coordinates activities such as scheduling medical records CPT and ICD-10 coding charge entry and patient accounts as assigned.
Ensures compliance with regulations and with clinic standards of quality patient care.
Communicates with patients families physicians and other employees in a caring and friendly manner; a professional approach is expected.
