Nutanix-VmWare Administrator MUST HAVE ("Host Migration") experience

Notes: Need strong Nutanix experience mandatory. 5 days per week on site and final interview on site. Must be local.

MUST HAVE Host Migration experience. Take hosts off of existing esxi host and how to migrate off VMs and then put host back on.

Job Responsibilities

Seeking a highly motivated candidate who demonstrates commitment to customer service and possesses strong technical skills and proficiency working with: 

Windows Server operating systems Linux Operating Systems users administration file system software and services 

Understanding of servers and various storage RAID configuration 

Active Directory management including backup and recovery of domain and GPO setup 

In-Depth Knowledge of Nutanix Hypervisor Migration best practices Required

In-Depth Knowledge of VMware Hypervisor Migration to Nutanix AHV Hypervisor 

Knowledge in Nutanix Cluster Deployment - required

Fundamental networking concepts and troubleshooting such as DHCP DNS Routing Firewall 

Fundamental understanding of security principles ACL Encryption 

Scripting: PowerShell bash ksh or perl for automating routine tasks 

Experienced with monitoring system health and performance able to provide statistics to identify bottlenecks and lead optimization efforts 

Disaster recovery planning and ability to perform backup and restore for systems applications and data 

Patch and firmware installation and management

Understanding of Baselining utilizing Industrial Defender preferred 

Candidate must be knowledgeable of Darksite patching of Nutanix Hypervisor and components as well as other Hypervisors. - preferred 

Bachelors degree (preferably in Information Technology) with a minimum of 5 years experience in IT Support.

Knowledge of NERC CIP compliance and how it effects best practices in Datacenters - Preferred
