Position Overview
An established occupational and primary care-focused clinic is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive patient care in a collaborative clinical environment. This role involves evaluating and treating patients managing acute and chronic conditions supporting preventive health initiatives and partnering with a supervising physician to deliver high-quality evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct pre-employment annual wellness and occupational health physical examinations.
Assess diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical conditions in accordance with established clinical protocols.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
Perform health screenings and support disease prevention initiatives.
Evaluate and treat workplace injuries and general illnesses.
Review and discuss patient cases with clinical leadership as appropriate.
Support employee health programs including respirator fit testing and hearing conservation programs.
Deliver age-appropriate patient assessments and interventions.
Educate patients on health management wellness and preventive care.
Order interpret and evaluate diagnostic testing.
Monitor patient outcomes and modify treatment plans as needed.
Coordinate care with specialists and other healthcare professionals through appropriate referrals.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
Assist with clinic operations and patient care activities as needed.
Adhere to all applicable clinical ethical and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in the state of practice.
Prescriptive authority as required by state regulations.
DEA registration.
BLS and ACLS certifications.
Minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified DOT Medical Examiner designation.
Occupational health urgent care primary care or employee health experience.
Experience performing physical examinations and preventive health screenings.
