Founded in 1873 Dignity Health - Mercy Medical Center is a 186-bed acute care nonprofit hospital located in Merced California. Serving over 150000 patients annually the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II NICU heart care the Mercy Cancer Center and a family birth center. Additionally Merced Medical Center has been recognized as an LGBTQ Healthcare Equality High Performer by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation and is a Joint Commission-certified Primary Stroke Center.
As our Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) you will provide full-scope womens health services across outpatient and hospital settings including prenatal labor and delivery postpartum and well-woman care. Your primary focus will be on expanding access and delivering exceptional comprehensive care to women in an underserved Central Valley community.
Every day you will collaborate with physicians in a mission-driven practice while delivering patient-centered care leveraging mentorship opportunities within a supportive clinic environment and making a meaningful impact in womens health within this growing community.
To be successful in this role you will be a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) bringing expertise in womens health services strong collaboration skills and a deep commitment to contributing to a patient-centered care team.

Minimum Qualifications
- Registered Nurse: CA (RN:CA)
- Certified Nurse Midwife(CNM)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Masters of Science (MSN)
- Strong communication skills with a commitment to delivering patient-centered care
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in obstetrics and gynecology
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus but not required to better serve or diverse patient population in Merced
Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements
