South Pointe Chevrolet is seeking a results-driven and customer-focused Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive dealership growth. The ideal candidate is a proven automotive sales leader with strong coaching leadership and relationship-building skills. This role is responsible for overseeing daily sales operations developing high-performing sales consultants maximizing profitability and ensuring an exceptional customer experience from initial contact through vehicle delivery.
The Sales Manager will play a key role in achieving sales targets maintaining compliance with dealership standards and fostering a positive high-energy team environment.
- Lead motivate and develop the dealership sales team to achieve and exceed individual and departmental sales goals.
- Monitor daily sales activities performance metrics and key dealership objectives.
- Recruit train coach and mentor sales consultants to improve product knowledge sales effectiveness and customer service skills.
- Assist sales staff in qualifying customers structuring deals and closing sales opportunities.
- Ensure all customers receive an exceptional and professional dealership experience.
- Manage inventory presentation and collaborate with leadership to maintain appropriate vehicle inventory levels.
- Review sales reports forecasts and market trends to identify opportunities for growth.
- Maintain compliance with dealership policies manufacturer standards and applicable regulations.
- Partner with the Finance & Insurance team to maximize profitability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Address customer concerns and resolve escalated issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Foster a culture of accountability teamwork and continuous improvement.
- Minimum 3-5 years of automotive sales leadership experience preferably in a dealership environment.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving team performance.
- Strong leadership coaching and employee development skills.
- Excellent communication negotiation and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to analyze sales data and implement effective business strategies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
- Proficiency with CRM systems dealership management software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays as required.
