Job Summary

Link Solutions is seeking a Networking Administrator (Senior-Level)  to support the Army Research Laboratory (ARL) Information Technology Modernization and Support Services program in Adelphi MD.

  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoW Top Secret Clearance
  • Non-remote (relocation incentive available)

The Networking Administrator position will require an understanding of enterprise network architecture layer 2/3 switching routing protocols and network security standards. You will be responsible for the installation configuration maintenance performance and security of the network infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage network performance availability and security.
  • Implement and enforce network security procedures and best practices to comply with DoD regulations.
  • Install maintain and troubleshoot network-related software and hardware systems including Layer 2/3 switches routers firewalls wireless access points and encryption devices.
  • Configure and troubleshoot routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP.
  • Work with IP-based networking environments including IPv4/IPv6 and IPSec VPNs.
  • Maintain knowledge of and apply standards related to 802.1x 802.11 MAC bridging traffic management and data encryption.
  • Evaluate develop and sustain telecommunications infrastructure and ensure conformance with organizational IT policies and objectives.
  • Train users on basic network operations and escalate advanced issues to senior personnel when necessary.

Qualifications :

  • U.S. Citizen with an active DoW Top Secret Clearance
  • Ten (10) years of relevant experience or a BA/BS Degree with two (2) years of experience in an IT enterprise network engineering role.
  • IAT Level II Certification equivalent or higher per DoD 8570/DoD 8140 (CompTIA Security CE CCNA Security GICSP GSEC SSCP etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (OSPF BGP) security standards (802.1X 802.11 MAC bridging) and media access control systems.
  • Experience in network segmentation traffic management and secure network architecture design.
  • In-depth knowledge of network tools monitoring platforms and documentation best practices.
  • Ability to plan and implement large-scale network configurations and upgrades while minimizing downtime.

Preferred:

  • CompTIA Network CE or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent.
  • Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) v4 certification
  • Experience with incident management within the ServiceNow Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) platform.
  • Familiarity with NIST STIG RMF and Federal Information Systems Controls.
  • Working knowledge of hardware configuration management tools and logistics tracking systems.
  • Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures.
  • Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment.
  • A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems.
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills attention to detail and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Salary Range: $88000 - $145000

Several factors influence the final salary or hourly rate including but not limited to contract wage determinations relevant work experience role-specific skills and competencies geographic location educational background certifications and federal government contract labor categories.
