Network Engineer Lead

Tuknik Government Services LLC a Koniag Government Services company is seeking a Network Engineer Lead to support KDS and our government customer. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. The primary responsibilities include performing network assessments implementing and configuring network hardware and software ensuring adherence to security standards monitoring network performance and maintaining system documentation. The Network Administrator will collaborate closely with the Network Engineer to carry out these responsibilities and Experience Requirements:Bachelors degree in Computer Science Computer Information Systems or a related field from an accredited of 5 years of experience in network administration including implementing and managing complex experience with network hardware and software including routers switches firewalls and security with network security best practices policies and Skills and Competencies:Perform network assessments requirements analysis implementation configuration of network hardware/software adhering to security standardsCollaborate with Network Engineer on network design recommendations expertiseMonitor network performance testing prepare test reportsConfigure routers switches firewalls security appliances per approved designInstall/configure security tools like vulnerability scanners IDS SIEM network management softwareAdminister user accounts network resource access assist with client device setupMonitor systems/services resolve issues log activities create/test backups validate recoveryMonitor logs investigate anomalies related to authentication hardware admin activitiesAssess and apply network equipment security patches per proceduresImplement network monitoring tools for continuous security/performance monitoringExceptional communication skills to liaise with technical/non-technical stakeholders attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate to Lead team and schedule rotationSecurity Clearance:Ability to obtain a Public Trust Desired Skills and Competencies:Experience working in a government or regulated environment with stringent security of network automation and scripting for efficient with cloud networking technologies and Equal Employment Opportunity PolicyThe company is an equal opportunity employer.
