Network Engineer

This role requires independent and team-based execution proactive analysis toidentifyroot causes and the ability tosupportresilient infrastructuresolutions.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Follow established Connectivity Operations Team proceduresutilizingticketing systems for issue tracking andmaintainingdetailed documentation for all network activities.
• Provide hands-on support for network upgrade projects and initiatives ensuring smooth implementation with minimal disruption to operations.
• Install maintain operate and secure LAN infrastructure and network devices to support organizational requirements.
• Respond to hardware failures by replacing and configuring networking components such as switches routers and access points.
• Troubleshoot and resolve end-user connectivity issues delivering responsive and professional customer support.
• Manage access to network segments and resources in accordance with established security policies and access control procedures.
• Perform network hardware operating system and software updates to maintain optimal performance functionality and security.
• Adhere to established change management and configuration management processes to maintain network integrity and compliance.

Required:

• Two (2) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope type and complexity arerequired.
• An active security clearance with polygraph.
• Associates degree in engineering technology from an accredited college is required.
• Two (2) additional years of network engineering experience may be substituted for the Associates degree.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: Significant lifting carrying pushing and/or pulling; some stooping kneeling crouching and/or crawling; periodic work in tight areas.
• Must have a valid drivers license and an acceptable driving record.
• Must possess certifications to demonstrate CWIP compliance (A Net or Sec)

Desired:

• Experience with installation and configuration of network devices such as firewalls switches routers andcabling.
• Familiarity with Cisco Brocade or Juniper devices is a plus.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP LAN/WAN DHCP DNS etc.).
• Experience with network operating systems hardware troubleshooting and ticketing systems.
