Nanny needed ASAP in Old Westbury, NY

Position: Full-Time Live-Out Nanny
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:00am6:00pm with flexibility as needed
Salary:$40/hour to start bonus based off of performance.

A warm welcoming and easygoing private family relocating to Old Westbury NY is seeking an experienced Full-Time Live-Out Nanny to join their household long term. They are looking for someone who is nurturing engaging personable and someone they genuinely connect well with. The ideal candidate will become a trusted and valued part of their home and family as their children grow.

The family values a relaxed environment and is looking for a nanny with a calm easygoing personality who is also proactive and confident in creating structure planning activities and supporting their childs development. Looking for someone who has amazing communication with the parents! This is a top priority.

Children: One son 19 months old with plans to grow their family in the future

Home Size: Approximately 10000 sq ft residence

Pets: One friendly Golden Retriever

Household Staff: Full-Time Housekeeper

The family travels throughout the year and the nanny should be comfortable accompanying them on occasional trips as needed (nothing planned at the moment). Driving is an important part of the position as the nanny will be responsible for taking their son to classes activities playdates and outings. A vehicle can be provided for work-related driving.

• Provide attentive loving and developmentally appropriate care for the familys 19-month-old son
• Create a fun engaging and nurturing environment that encourages learning exploration and age-appropriate development
• Research plan and organize age-appropriate activities classes playdates outings and experiences
• Maintain a consistent daily routine while remaining flexible to the childs and familys needs
• Drive the child safely to and from classes activities appointments playdates and outings
• Prepare simple healthy meals and snacks for the child as needed
• Maintain excellent open communication with Mom regarding the childs schedule activities meals naps development and overall well-being
• Work closely with the parents to maintain consistency with routines boundaries and their preferred parenting approach
• Keep playrooms nursery areas and other child-related spaces tidy and organized throughout the day
• Clean up toys and activities and help maintain an orderly environment in the areas used by the child
• Keep the childs clothing closets toys books supplies and personal belongings organized and appropriately rotated as he grows
• Assist with child-related laundry and clothing organization as needed
• Keep track of child-related supplies and communicate with the parents when items need to be replenished
• Encourage age-appropriate independence good habits and development through play and everyday routines
• Coordinate effectively with the familys Full-Time Housekeeper and other household support to ensure the home runs smoothly
• Accompany the family on occasional travel and assist with packing preparation routines and childcare while away
• Be comfortable with the familys plans to grow and adapt to caring for additional children in the future
• Maintain discretion professionalism and respect for the familys privacy at all times

The ideal candidate is warm nurturing engaging and highly experienced in caring for toddlers and young children in private households. They should genuinely enjoy spending time with children and be creative and proactive when it comes to planning activities outings and developmentally appropriate experiences.

The family is seeking someone who is naturally easygoing and personable; someone they genuinely enjoy having around and can see becoming a long-term part of their family. At the same time the nanny should be organized dependable and confident taking ownership of the childs daily routine and activities.

Strong communication is especially important. The nanny should be comfortable maintaining open and collaborative communication with Mom and keeping her informed about the childs day development routines and needs.

The ideal candidate will also understand how to work successfully within a staffed household. They do expect the nanny to take ownership of keeping child-related areas toys clothing and belongings neat and organized.

• Prior professional nanny experience in a similar private household role
• Strong experience caring for toddlers and young children
• Excellent professional references
• Legal authorization to work in the United States
• Valid drivers license with a clean driving record DRIVING REQUIRED
• Confident and comfortable driving a young child to activities classes appointments and outings
• Proactive in researching and planning age-appropriate activities and experiences
• Strong communication skills and comfortable working closely with Mom
• Organized and willing to maintain childrens clothing toys play areas and belongings
• Comfortable working alongside a Full-Time Housekeeper and within a staffed household
• Comfortable with dogs
• Willing and able to travel occasionally with the family
• Flexible and adaptable as the family grows and their childcare needs evolve
• CPR/First Aid certified or willing to obtain certification
