Job Summary
This position is responsible for managing programs and initiatives that support achievement of the State Government Municipal & Community and Business Relations team objectives related to spending procurement corporate donations community events outreach and constituent issue resolution.
Key Responsibilities
- 1. Responsible for planning monitoring and reporting on the department budget working in close collaboration with Vice President and business are leadership to ensure annual budgets are met.
- 2. Responsible for managing the tracking and reporting of lobbying and Board of Elections compliance in close collaboration with the Vice President.
- 3. Manage all procurement activities for the department including developing requests for proposal technical bid evaluation purchase order creating and invoice processing to ensure department needs are met and vendors are paid in a timely manner..
- 4. Manage corporate donations program through vetting recommendations with Vice President securing all required paperwork from external organizations ensuring all donations have executive approval and meet corporate compliance rules processing payments and managing budget. Coordinate and participate in recognition events related to corporate donations.
- 5. Responsible for maintaining the government officials contact database to promote prompt efficient and effective communications to advance the interests of external stakeholders and the Company.
- 6. Applies knowledge and skills to effectively resolve constituent issues related to the Company which are raised by elected officials.
- 7. Coordinate public information meetings public hearings and town meetings related to assigned projects.
- 8. Organize special events such as meetings and volunteer opportunities for team members.
- 9. Responsible for supporting the PLO team prior to and during emergency events by distributing press releases and other relevant information to government officials.
- 10. Assist in coordinating public information meetings public hearings Legislative and town meeting related to assigned projects.
Required Qualifications
- Education & Experience Required:
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience is preferred or an Associates Degree with 5 years relevant experience.
- Relevant experience includes customer service managing corporate department budgets public affairs government affairs or communications.
- Experience working with community organizations or in a setting that engages with community organizations is preferred.
- Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively interact with external stakeholders.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel Word and Power Point applications.
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
Preferred Qualifications
