About the Job:

• The practice of radiography is performed by a segment of health care professionals responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. A multimodality technologist performs radiographic and CT Scan procedures and related techniques producing images for the interpretation by or by the request of a licensed independent practitioner.

What Youll Do:

• Maintains a working knowledge of all radiographic and CT Scan equipment within the department.
• Prepares and positions patient for CT and X-Ray procedures according to the procedure manual.
• Adjusts technical factors in proportion to patient and body part being examined while minimizing radiation.
• Prepares and/or administers contrast media i.e. orally IV rectally.
• Checks patient charts for lab results and allergies prior to the administration of IV contrast.
• Provides radiation protection to patient staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.

Who You Are:

• Graduate of an accredited educational program in radiography radiation therapy or nuclear medicine technology Required
• Board of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Certification Required
• ARRT (CT) certification Required within 24 months of hire
• ARRT (Rad Tech) certification Required
• Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment
