Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Complete review and submit MDS assessments CAAs and comprehensive care plans in accordance with CMS RAI guidelines.
- Manage MDS schedules ARDs Medicare assessments IPA reviews and Medicaid Case Mix processes.
- Ensure accurate clinical documentation ICD coding and regulatory reporting.
- Monitor MDS quality measures validation reports and compliance metrics; complete corrections as needed.
- Educate and support nursing and interdisciplinary team members on MDS best practices and documentation standards.
- Participate in Medicare meetings Triple Check processes QAPI initiatives and quality improvement activities.
- Identify significant changes in resident condition and coordinate appropriate assessments.
- Travel to assigned communities to provide onsite support training and coverage as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current Iowa RN or LPN license in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years of long-term care experience.
- Minimum 2 years of dedicated MDS experience.
- RAC-CT certification required within one year of hire and maintained thereafter.
- Strong knowledge of CMS RAI guidelines Medicare Medicaid and long-term care regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook Word and Excel.
- Excellent organizational communication and time-management skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly and support multiple locations.
