Job Summary
Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join a high-performing diagnostic imaging team in Las Cruces NM. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI scans ensuring patient safety and delivering accurate imaging to support clinical diagnosis and treatment planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) procedures in accordance with physician orders and imaging protocols
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout all scanning procedures
- Prepare and position patients accurately for optimal image quality
- Operate MRI equipment and adjust scan parameters as needed
- Maintain imaging records and ensure compliance with clinical standards
- Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to ensure diagnostic accuracy
- Follow all infection control safety and hospital policies
Requirements
- Registered MRI Technologist (ARRT MRI) or ARMRIT certification required
- Ability to obtain New Mexico state MRI licensure (or currently licensed)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required upon hire
- Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols and imaging procedures
- Excellent patient care and communication skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in hospital or outpatient imaging settings
- Familiarity with advanced MRI systems and imaging software
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
