Job Title: InstructorDivision: Youth DevelopmentReports to: Assistant Director Associate Director Director Effective Date: 7/1/16FLSA: Non-ExemptSummaryThe Instructor is responsible for delivering program plans and schedules provided by agency. Adjustlesson plans to meet the needs of the participants as well as track progress of development bothacademically and Functions: Lead small group activities that are age appropriate in an atmosphere where students areactively engaged in meaningful learning experiences enhancing the social physical and academicadvancement of children. Implement the lesson plans and activities. Assist students with homework assignments as needed. Responsible for the health safety and wellbeing of the children at all times. Report to the Program Manager any behavioral concerns and/or incidents involving the children inthe program. Build relationships with parents children and the school administration/teachers. Performs other related duties as Responsibilities: NoneMinimum Qualifications: Bachelors degree. Bilingual in one or more of the following: Spanish Mandarin Cantonese Bengali and others maybe required depending on client needs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Ability to plan and carry out assignments independently. Ability to prioritize adhere to timelines and Preferred: Bachelors degree in Education Social Work or related field. CPR and First Aid Behavioral Expectations: Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance punctuality personal appearance andadherence to relevant health & safety procedures. Safe and successful performance including meeting productivity standards. Maintain an understanding of the principles methods and processes needed to perform the staff meetings seminars and in-service training as assigned.
