Mobile Engineer

Location: Bloomington/Normal or Champaign/Urbana IL
Schedule: MondayFriday 8:00 AM4:30 PM
Weekend Work: Occasional emergency calls

Were looking for a Mobile Maintenance Mechanic who enjoys variety knows their way around a building and can tackle repairs with confidence. Youll support 15 properties throughout the area keeping facilities safe functional and looking their best.

This is a great opportunity for a well-rounded maintenance technician who has experience with electrical plumbing carpentry painting HVAC basics and general building maintenance.

And heres a major perk: your windshield time is paid! Your workday starts when you leave home and ends when you return home. A company vehicle and phone are provided and youll need a safe place to keep the company vehicle at home.

Travel between 15 assigned properties to complete maintenance and repair work

Handle minor plumbing repairs leaks fixtures clogs and other plumbing issues

Perform basic electrical repairs including switches outlets receptacles and lighting

Replace light fixtures bulbs ballasts and other building components

Complete carpentry repairs including doors hardware cabinetry wall patching and painting

Perform basic HVAC troubleshooting filter changes thermostat adjustments and airflow checks

Complete preventive maintenance and routine facility inspections

Respond to work orders and prioritize repairs based on urgency

Use Corrigo CMMS to receive update and close work orders

Identify issues requiring outside contractors and communicate findings to the team

Maintain clean safe and professional work areas

Safely operate and maintain the company vehicle while traveling between properties

Respond to occasional emergency maintenance needs including rotational on-call coverage

3 years of commercial or institutional general maintenance experience

Solid hands-on experience with electrical plumbing carpentry painting and general building repairs

Basic HVAC knowledge and troubleshooting ability

Comfortable using hand and power tools

Basic computer tablet and mobile device skills

Experience with a CMMS/work order system preferred

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and manage multiple locations

Valid drivers license and safe driving record

Professional communication and customer service skills

Ability to lift up to 80 lbs. and safely use ladders up to 30 feet

EPA Certification

Corrigo or other CMMS experience

Commercial or institutional facility experience

Experience supporting multiple properties or locations

15 properties. One company vehicle. Paid windshield time. MondayFriday schedule.
