Mobile Engineer 2 HVAC/R & Facilities Maintenance West Chester OH 3-Month Contract Onsite
Serve as a Mobile Engineer HVAC/R responsible for maintaining troubleshooting repairing and operating commercial HVAC refrigeration electrical plumbing and mechanical systems across assigned facilities. Handle preventive maintenance emergency repairs inspections and facility upkeep while ensuring safety compliance and minimizing equipment downtime. This role requires on-call availability and travel between multiple locations.

Hours: 40 hours per week
Schedule: MondayFriday 7:00 AM3:30 PM EST
Work Type: Onsite (mobile across multiple facilities)
Reporting Location: West Chester OH (7390 Tylersville Road)
Start Date: May 18 2026
COMPENSATION:
Pay Rate: $34.00/hour
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Mobile across multiple assigned facilities
On-call support required; available for call-in work
Driving between facilities required
Working in extreme hot/cold conditions
Commercial and industrial facility environments
Production equipment and building systems
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
HVAC/R & MECHANICAL SYSTEMS:
Maintain and repair commercial HVAC/R systems and equipment
Service and repair refrigeration systems and equipment
Perform HVAC/R diagnostics and troubleshooting
Execute emergency repairs and rapid response to system failures
Conduct preventive maintenance on scheduled basis
Repair production equipment and building mechanical systems
Ensure optimal performance and efficiency of all systems
ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS:
Troubleshoot and repair electrical distribution systems
Work with 480V 3-phase electrical systems (critical requirement)
Service electrical equipment and components
Diagnose electrical issues safely and professionally
Follow electrical safety procedures and codes
PLUMBING & BUILDING SYSTEMS:
Service and repair plumbing systems
Handle building facility maintenance and repairs
Conduct general building system maintenance
Support facility upkeep and operations
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE & INSPECTIONS:
Perform preventive maintenance on all assigned systems
Conduct facility inspections and assessments
Document maintenance activities and findings
Report maintenance issues to management/customer
Recommend corrective actions and improvements
Minimize equipment downtime through proactive maintenance
SAFETY & COMPLIANCE:
Perform hazard assessments at all job sites
Follow OSHA safety procedures and requirements
Maintain compliance with local building codes
Complete required safety training
Practice defensive driving and vehicle safety
Conduct vehicle safety inspections
Report and escalate safety concerns
ADMINISTRATIVE & DOCUMENTATION:
Update work orders in CMMS systems (Corrigo preferred)
Submit P-card receipts and expense documentation
Maintain accurate service records and reports
Attend safety and work-related meetings
Communicate effectively with customers and management
Track time and materials for billing purposes
ON-CALL SUPPORT:
Available for call-in work as required by employer
Agreement to be added to On-Call schedule
Make reasonable effort to answer calls from call center while on-call
Support emergency repairs and urgent facility needs
Respond to emergency situations professionally
REQUIREMENTS:
CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSES:
Universal CFC/EPA Certification (or must obtain within 90 days)
Valid drivers license required
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in:
- Commercial HVAC/R systems maintenance and repair
- Refrigeration equipment service and troubleshooting
- Electrical troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Building/facility maintenance
Strong experience with 480V 3-phase electrical systems (critical requirement)
HVAC/R diagnostics and repair expertise
Mechanical and plumbing systems knowledge
Mobile technician/service engineer background
Multi-skilled maintenance experience preferred
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
Commercial refrigeration maintenance expertise
Electrical distribution systems knowledge
HVAC/R troubleshooting and repair
Preventive maintenance and diagnostics
CMMS systems proficiency (Corrigo preferred)
Production equipment maintenance
Plumbing systems understanding

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 80 lbs regularly
Ability to work from heights and climb ladders (up to 30 feet)
Ability to work in extreme hot and cold environments
