TITLE: ML Summer School Program ESL Elementary Teachers
SALARY: $50.00 per hour
FUNDING SOURCE: Title III
DEPARTMENT: Multilingual Learners Program
LOCATION: Lincoln Elementary School
WORK SCHEDULE:
Orientation: Date TBD- Site: Lincoln Elementary School from 8:00 AM to 1:15 PM
Program Schedule: 8:00 AM to 1:45 PM Monday through Thursday July 6 2026 - July 30 2026.
Work Schedule: 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM Monday through Thursday July 6 2026 - July 30 2026.
DUTIES:
1. Responsible to the ML Director and ML Program Coordinator.
2. Daily lesson planning.
3. Complete thematic planning approach.
4. Participate in the planning and implementation of the ESL program by WIDA standards for English language development.
5. Administer pre- and post-program assessments.
6. Produce bi-weekly reports for students in their classes.
7. Keep attendance records of students.
8. Supervise breakfast and lunch duty in the cafeteria with assigned class.
9. Supervise afternoon bus duty.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Presently employed as a certified teacher of Elementary ESL/SEI in Springfield
Public Schools.
2. Ability to communicate with parents.
3. Committed to delivering high-quality instruction and adhering to rigorous curriculum
standards.
4. Expertise on the use of research-based intervention strategies.
5. Understand the goals and requirements of the State Curriculum
Frameworks and Assessments.
