Millwright

Join a stable industrial operation maintaining critical equipment at specialized zinc and graphite mills in Gouverneur New York. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Millwright Industrial Maintenance Technician or Mechanical Maintenance Technician with hands-on experience supporting heavy industrial or mineral processing equipment.

Located within driving distance of the Thousand Islands Lake Ontario the Adirondack Mountains Lake Placid Montreal and Ottawa this position offers both career stability and outstanding outdoor recreation.

What Youll Do

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on cone crushers jaw crushers crusher screens conveyor belts rollers and drive units
• Rebuild repair and troubleshoot industrial slurry pumps
• Complete welding fabrication and pipe fitting projects
• Diagnose mechanical equipment issues and restore production safely and efficiently
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records
• Work closely with mill operations to minimize downtime
• Follow all MSHA and company safety procedures
• Assist with additional maintenance projects as needed

Required Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining heavy industrial or mineral processing equipment
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Experience with welding fabrication and pipe fitting
• Experience using hand tools power tools and diagnostic equipment
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to safely lift and move heavy equipment
• Legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

• Approximately 5 years of industrial maintenance or millwright experience
• Experience with cone crushers jaw crushers conveyors slurry pumps or similar processing equipment
• Familiarity with rod mills or ball mills
• Experience reading blueprints schematics and technical drawings
• Previous mining quarry aggregates cement pulp & paper or other heavy industrial maintenance experience
• MSHA experience or similar industrial safety training
