Job Summary
METROLOGY TECHNICIAN (Permanent)
Our client an international engineering & manufacturing organization with headquarters in WNY is looking to hire a Metrology Technician to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Perform calibration on electrical instrumentation tooling and gauging throughout the facility
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of gauge accuracy precision and repeatability
- Regularly calibrate and verify all measurement/test instrumentation & equipment used by facility personnel to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Perform routine maintenance on calibration lab equipment to guarantee optimal operational activity
- Prepare requisitions for external vendors and review calibration certifications to ensure compliance with Purchase Order (PO) requirements
- Ensure accurate records are kept of inspection equipment calibrations including calibration schedules and usage dates
- Analyze current procedures to identify areas for improvementwrite updated operational procedures
- Consistently adhere to established procedures standards and quality requirements
- Support engineering initiatives by conducting the testing and evaluation of new product designs
- Design develop and recommend test setups fixtures and acceptance criteria when necessary
- Analyze interpret and report test and measurement data effectively
- Work well both independently and in a team environment
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time direct hire
- 100% in-office Monday through Friday
- $52000 $75000 annually depending on experience

- 1-3 years of metrology experience
- Working knowledge of mechanical equipment: Calipers Balances Hardness Testers micrometers Weights Inspection Gauges etc.
- Minimum of a high school degree is required
- Basic computer skills: data entry MSOffice
- Excellent attention to detail & accuracy
- Strong organizational & time management skills
- Self-motivated but collaborative and team oriented
- Relocation not available
