Laland Baptiste LLC is seeking an experiencedMEP Inspectorto support a large-scale public construction project in the Bronx. The ideal candidate will have hands-on field inspection experience withmechanical electrical plumbing and fire protection systemson major building construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections of MEP installations to verify compliance with contract drawings specifications codes and project requirements.
• Inspect mechanical electrical plumbing HVAC and fire protection work throughout construction.
• Monitor contractor activities and identify deficiencies or non-conforming work.
• Review drawings specifications RFIs submittals and approved shop drawings as they relate to field installations.
• Prepare detailed daily inspection reports photographs and documentation of work in progress.
• Coordinate with contractors engineers construction management staff and other field inspectors.
• Monitor testing commissioning equipment installation and system start-up activities as required.
• Assist with punch lists corrective work and project closeout.

Qualifications

• 7-10 years of MEP construction inspection or related field experiencepreferred.
• Experience with large commercial institutional government or public-sector construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems construction drawings specifications and applicable building codes.
• Previous experience working onNYC agency or other public-sector projectsis highly preferred.
• Strong written communication and field reporting skills.
• Ability to work onsite in the Bronx and coordinate effectively with multiple trades and project stakeholders.
