Summary:

This position will be supporting our Retail Pharmacy in Fort Worth.

To assist in providing pharmacy services to the patients and staff of Cook Childrens Health Care System and the community we serve by timely delivery of medications. Responsible for prompt accurate delivery and distribution of a variety of materials including pharmaceuticals supplies equipment and/or correspondence throughout Cook Childrens Medical Center in accordance with department requirements. All tasks will be performed under direct supervision of the Pharmacy Technician Supervisor and/or an experienced pharmacist.

Education & Experience:

• High School graduate or equivalent with demonstrated ability to read and write are required

• Good telephone skills and good oral communication skills are required

• A general knowledge of office procedures such as filing and record keeping is essential

Certification/Licensure:

• Technician trainee registration within 90 days of employment

• Technician trainee registration is active for up to two years; after this period technician registration is required by the state of Texas
