Medical Transportation Coordinator
Job Summary
This is a remote position.
We are seeking a reliable and organized Medical Transportation Coordinator to manage and coordinate non-emergency transportation services for patients. The coordinator will schedule trips communicate with patients and drivers monitor transportation schedules and ensure that rides are completed safely and on time.
- Schedule and coordinate patient transportation and appointments.
- Assign trips to appropriate drivers and vehicles.
- Communicate with patients drivers healthcare facilities and caregivers.
- Confirm pickup and drop-off locations and transportation times.
- Monitor transportation schedules and address delays cancellations or changes.
- Maintain accurate trip patient and driver records.
- Respond to phone calls and transportation requests in a professional manner.
- Help ensure compliance with company safety and transportation procedures.
- Coordinate daily transportation activities and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare partners.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in scheduling dispatching transportation healthcare or customer service preferred.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using computers scheduling software and Microsoft Office.
- Professional and compassionate communication with patients.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in transportation dispatching scheduling healthcare or customer service preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn scheduling/dispatch software.
- Ability to communicate professionally with patients drivers healthcare facilities and caregivers.

- Must be dependable punctual and able to work independently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling patient information.
- Valid drivers license preferred depending on job duties.
