Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant / Certified Medical Assistant (MA/CMA) at our Valley View Family Clinic you will be a pivotal healthcare professional delivering compassionate high-quality care that truly impacts our patients well-being and recovery.

Every day you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized comprehensive care and make critical assessments! Youll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes.

To thrive in this vital role you will possess keen assessment skills acute critical thinking and a patient-first mindset driven by a profound enthusiasm to help others.

Expectations:

  • Performs general patient care following established clinic workflows.
  • Greets and prepares patients for the health care provider by obtaining and recording vital signs reviewing drug allergies and current medications completing applicable screening questionnaires and documenting reasons for visit.
  • Collects and prepares ordered specimens for laboratory analysis.
  • Prepares and provides ordered medications and/or vaccines to patients.
  • Performs other duties within scope of role as assigned.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Graduate of a medical assisting program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education (CAAHEP)
  • Successfully completed Medication Aide 40-hour course or current/valid
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
