Role Overview
A healthcare facility in Boise ID is seeking an experienced Medical Physicist for a 3-month onsite contract assignment within an oncology department. Key Responsibilities
Support radiation treatment planning and dose optimization
Perform radiation safety and quality assurance procedures
Analyze imaging and treatment planning data for patient care
Conduct equipment calibration testing and maintenance support
Collaborate with physicians oncology staff and clinical teams
Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and protocols
Support staff education training and clinical research initiatives
Troubleshoot equipment and treatment planning issues as needed
Requirements
Masters or PhD in Medical Physics or related field required
ABR certification required
Current state medical physics license or eligibility required
Minimum 2 years of Medical Physicist experience required
Radiotherapy physics experience required
Strong understanding of radiation safety and treatment planning
Excellent analytical communication and problem-solving abilities
Nice-to-Haves
CAMPEP-accredited program completion preferred
Experience with EPIC ARIA RadOnc or CTC-RadOnc systems
Diagnostic imaging physics experience preferred
Previous contract or traveler healthcare experience
Research or academic medical physics experience
