Job Summary

 

The Medical Assistant will support providers with both clinical and administrative duties while helping ensure a positive patient experience. The ideal candidate is professional dependable and able to work collaboratively as part of a team. Dermatology experience is highly preferred but we are open to training the right candidate with a strong work ethic and willingness to grow.

Responsibilities:

  • Room patients and prepare them for examination
  • Obtain and document patient histories vital signs and chief complaints
  • Assist physicians and providers with examinations and procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms instruments and supplies
  • Perform clinical tasks such as injections wound care suture removal and specimen handling (as permitted by role/training)
  • Assist with biopsies surgeries and dermatologic procedures
  • Provide patient education and relay provider instructions
  • Process prescriptions prior authorizations and refill requests
  • Support scheduling charting and electronic medical records documentation
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper stocking of exam rooms
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to patients and team members

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Medical Assistant certification preferred)
  • Minimum 1 year of medical office or clinical experience preferred
  • Dermatology experience highly preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude reliability and willingness to learn

Job Type:

  • Full-time: Monday-Friday 7:45am-4:45pm
