The Medical Assistant is responsible for supporting both clinical and administrative operations within an acute care hospital setting. Key functions include rooming patients obtaining vital signs and managing front-office duties to ensure efficient patient flow. Responsibilities:
- Room patients and prepare them for clinical examinations.
- Check and accurately record patient vital signs.
- Answer incoming phone calls and address patient inquiries.
- Assist with scheduling patients for medical procedures and imaging.
- Obtain and process necessary medical authorizations.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- National Certification as a Medical Assistant (acceptable certifications include AAMA AMT AMCA NCCT or NHA).
- Active and unencumbered certification (pending licenses or certifications are not accepted).
