The Electrification & Automation (EA) Business Unit offers the full range of energy distribution systems and solutions for all markets and through all sales channels. We provide reliable power distribution grids of today while investing in our Future Grids portfolio to create the power distribution grid of the future.
We are looking for a Mechanical Quality Inspector to join our production team on the 2nd shift. This position will be based at our Wendell NC facility.
The Mechanical Quality Inspector position is responsible for performing the in-process inspection duties on our Switchboard products this is an in-process inspection position on the assembly lines.
Shift Hours: 3:00PM- 11:00PM
Hourly Rate: $22.46 $1.00 Shift Differential
Youll make an impact by:
Perform in-process inspection mechanical duties.
Inspect each product to company Quality Standards and given guidelines.
Reviewing specifications and drawings to ensure that products have been built correctly on assembly line.
Troubleshoot equipment failure and implement corrective action.
Prepare and maintain inspection and quality reports.
Work with production and engineering teams during the inspection process and report any findings.
Adhere to developed processes methods and/or seek ways to improve.
Must adhere to all safety rules and keep safety first for self and others.
Perform miscellaneous other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Management.

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
Youll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
1 year of prior work experience with production & inspection.
1 years of experience working with Torque wrenches and torque verifications.
Strong Analytical skills to perform point to point or sequence of operation checks.
Experience working with various types of inspection tools and have knowledge product drawings.
Must have the ability to read and work with schematic drawings/layouts/wire lists to include circuit troubleshooting and basic computer skills.
Strong communication skills in English both verbal and written.
Applicants must be legally authorized for employment within the United States without the need for current or future employer - sponsored work authorization.
Preferred Qualifications:
High school / GED
Experience working with SAP Salesforce and SieOps.
Advanced knowledge working with 3D models and engineering drawings.
Conform with Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policy and Management System and strive to continual improve the intended outcomes of the Management System.
The pay for this position is $22.46 per hour plus an additional $1.00 shift differential. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience knowledge skills qualifications and premium geographic location.
