Job Summary
Were looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector to support the Storage Module project at Fort Meade through September 30 2026 with possible extensions.
The Inspector will perform field inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements codes safety standards and industry practices. Responsibilities include reviewing workmanship and materials documenting deficiencies preparing inspection reports and using E-Builder construction management software.
Candidates must have 10 years of relevant inspection experience and hold USACE QCM and OSHA 30 certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical and construction field inspections for code and contract compliance.
- Review materials and workmanship and recommend approvals or corrections.
- Monitor onsite safety and labor requirements.
- Prepare inspection reports and document deficiencies or corrective actions.
- Coordinate with contractors and project teams throughout construction activities.
- Utilize E-Builder for inspection tracking and project documentation.
Requirements
- Required certifications: USACE QCM and OSHA 30.
- 10 years of mechanical/construction inspection experience.
- Strong knowledge of construction codes safety standards and industry practices.
- Experience with field inspections quality control and compliance reviews.
- Proficiency in E-Builder or similar construction management software.
- Strong reporting communication and coordination skills.
- Associates degree trade school or equivalent experience preferred.
Physical Demands:
Ability to walk construction sites climb ladders and stand for extended periods in varying weather conditions.
