Mechanical Engineering Intern

This position will support the engineering team with activities such as calculations drawings design reviews conducting lab tests regression analysis and automation.

The Intern will be responsible for:

• Create pressure vessel calculations using ASME codes.
• Develop drawings BOMs and design reviews for particular tasks.
• Work with the engineering labs to schedule and run tests.
• Create templates run regression analysis to develop predictability in shear pressures.
• Work with engineering lab to automate tests.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Intern also will learn about the following:

• Design of pressure vessels using ASME codes.
• Real life testing on equipment.
• Automation.

Skills/Requirements

• Currently enrolled and working toward completion of Bachelor or Graduate degree from an accredited university or college with Mechanical Engineering majors preferred.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Good interpersonal skills to drive collaboration across multiple functions to achieve desired results.
• Ability to work independently or within a larger team as required by the project and subsystem.
• Familiarity with Microsoft office products i.e. Outlook Teams Word Excel PowerPoint.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis now or in the future without employer sponsorship for employment visa status.

• Internship is 12 weeks May 24 - August 13 2027
