Mechanical Design Engineer

• Create mechanical 3D models and drawings for the assigned product line showing product details dimensions and materials of construction leveraging Solidworks.
• Ensure all drawings are detailed accurate complete and in accordance with customer requirements and company procedures.
• Deliver all drawings and models according to schedules and deadlines set by customers and the department management.
• Contribute innovative ideas skills and work products to the business unit.
• Utilize Solid Modeling Product Data Management (PDM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software as a routine course of business while demonstrating a willingness and ability for continued learning and skills advancement.
• Analyze customer mechanical structural and regulatory requirements to develop practical effective and complete design solutions.
• Convert verbal and written information into 2-dimensional drawings for use in the product manufacturing process.

• Requires a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 2 years of experience or an associates degree in mechanical design or related field with 8 years of experience.
• Experience designing with SolidWorks.
• Proficiency with Product Data Management and ERP software.
• Solid understanding of developing mechanical designs and drawings with product details dimensions and structures while indicating materials and manufacturing procedures.
• Ability to convert written and verbal information into 2-dimensional drawings.
• Proficiently use Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook Teams).
• Ability to visualize designs in both 2D and 3D.

• Physical Requirements: Frequent standing walking climbing kneeling squatting stooping crouching crawling twisting bending and reaching.
• Lifting/Carrying: Occasionally required to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Manual Dexterity: Requires regular use of hands and arms to grasp handle manipulate or feel objects tools or controls.
