We are looking for Mechanical Assemblers Level I for our Manufacturing Retrofit Team on the 1st Shift. This position will be based in Wendell NC.
As a Mechanical Assembler you will be responsible for the building and assembling of Low and Medium Voltage Electrical Distribution Equipment such as Switchgears Switchboards and Breakers.
Shift Hours: 6:00AM - 2:30PM
Hourly Rate: $19.00 Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities Youll win us over by having the following qualifications:
Basic Qualifications
Ability to occasionally lift parts or subassemblies weighing up to 50 pounds. Basic proficiency in English including the ability to read write and communicate verbally. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a continuous basis without the need for current or future employersponsored work authorization. Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience with mechanical assembly or technical hands on work Youll make a difference by:
Demonstrate a willingness to learn and safely operate standard hand and power tools including pneumatic and batteryoperated tools. Learn the proper use of torque wrenches and how to apply specified torque values. Learn to accurately use measuring tools such as tape measures and other standard measuring devices. Develop the ability to identify common mechanical parts and basic electrical components. Assemble sub-assemblies parts kits and aftermarket parts orders including mechanical assembly of steel components. Record job transactions read BOMs follow layouts and assembly drawings. Adherence to Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety policies with a commitment to continuous improvement and be a strong team player. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
