Starting Pay: $25.00/Hour - $30.00/Hour
Working Schedule and Conditions:
Eight (8) hour days Monday - Friday
Occasional daily overtime and weekend work required
Must work outside in varying temperatures and weather conditions and daylight or darkness
Duties occasionally performed indoors
Duties occasionally performed in confined spaces
Essential Functions:
Perform repair work and maintenance for vessels in fleet
Perform routine and preventative maintenance
Test specific parts and systems to ensure proper function
Troubleshoot and diagnose faulty systems and mechanical/electrical/electronic problems and correct the problem
Plan and complete repairs and scheduled maintenance in a timely manner
Inspect equipment
Reference service and repair manuals
Construct and fabricate elements for repair
Additional Functions:
Operate Company tools and equipment
Perform other job duties as assigned
Must be able to work well independently or as part of a team
Physical Demands:
Climbing ladders and stairs
Standing for extended periods of time
Entering and working in confined spaces
Repetitive bending kneeling squatting twisting stooping reaching and stretching
Handling installing positioning moving and manipulating materials with hands and arms
Lifting equipment ranging from less than ten (10lbs) to weights in excess of one hundred (100lbs) pounds
Education Experience and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required
MS Office and maintenance software programs
Vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship preferred
Two years of related experience preferred
Excellent mechanical repair skills
Maintain a valid drivers license
Personal Protection Equipment (PPE):
The use of PPE is required. Required PPE is provided by the Company.
Must be able to wear:
Personal flotation devices
Gloves
Steel-toed boots
Hard hats
Ear and eye protection
Weather dictated clothing
Equipment designed to prevent inhaling of foreign substances
