Mechanic 3 8 Hours 12 Month Calendar

GENERAL DUTIES:

Investigate vehicle problems and perform skilled repairs to District vehicles. Coordinate the work of other mechanics to complete maintenance projects.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or its equivalent
• Proficient oral and written communication skills in English
• Proficient in the use of computer and Internet based applications including but not limited to email and systems applications
• Hold a valid Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and a valid Oregon School Bus Drivers Certificate or be able to obtain both within 60 days
• Hold an Oregon Department of Education Technician Certification or be able to obtain one within six months
• Hold a DEQ Certification or be able to obtain it within nine months
• Three years of experience maintaining and repairing large vehicle engines
• Pass a pre-employment drug test
