Material Handling and Inventory Control Specialist

Seeking a Material Handling and Inventory Control Specialist in Wylie TX This role offers a blend of hands-on warehouse duties and inventory management with a steady Monday to Friday schedule.

As a Material Handling and Inventory Control Specialist you will be responsible for purchasing and receiving project materials maintaining accurate inventory and operating forklifts to move load and unload materials within the warehouse. You will also assist with general warehouse duties to ensure smooth operations. This contract-to-hire position offers a 7 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday schedule and potential for long-term employment.

Responsibilities

• Purchase and maintain all project materials
• Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
• Load and unload trucks following shipping and receiving procedures
• Move materials within the warehouse efficiently
• Maintain accurate inventory records
• Inspect equipment and report maintenance needs
• Assist with general warehouse organization and housekeeping

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience operating a forklift (valid certification preferred)
• Previous warehouse or material handling experience
• Experience in inventory control shipping and receiving
• Strong computer skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Attention to detail
• Commitment to safety
• Team player with a positive attitude
