By coaching others introducing new ideas and ways of working and improving processes that make colleagues and their shared initiatives more effective. Using insights and analytics to guide decisions manage program budgets and deliver highquality highimpact work this important role blends strategy with execution and influences outcomes.

Job Duties
  • MASTERY OF SPECIALIZATION: acts as a go to subject matter expert who can tackle ambiguous high stakes work and set standards for others; connects specialty decisions to business strategy insights and downstream operational implications; mentors others in area of specialization conducts reviews that elevate quality and creates training frameworks or tooling that scale excellence across the team; evaluates emerging tools and approaches; measures impact and socializes outcomes; anticipates compliance accessibility and reputational risk and designs guardrails; operates with minimal oversight making sound trade offs that protect both performance and quality.
  • CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATION: leads collaboration for complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders tight timelines and competing priorities; establishes operating rhythms (cadences decision trees escalation paths) that reduce friction and ambiguity; facilitates alignment on goals roles success measures and trade offs; secures decisions that keep the program on track; anticipates conflicts mediates differences and drives toward pragmatic solutions grounded in data and business impact; creates documentation that travels well across teams (briefs scorecards dashboards) to maintain ongoing clarity; sponsors and enables others to collaborate effectively by modeling behaviors and raising collaboration standards.
  • MESSAGE DEVELOPMENT AND STORYTELLING: designs message architectures for programsdefining core story pillars proof points objection handling and CTAs that ladder to strategy; validates resonance via structured testing (A/B concept tests) and research when necessary; translates insights into concrete narrative improvements; coaches others on clarity tone and persuasion; conducts reviews that raise quality without slowing teams down; aligns narratives across channels and functions to avoid fragmentation and message drift; builds reusable frameworks (e.g. value prop libraries story maps) that speed future work; ensures messaging reflects brand values is inclusive and accessible and mitigates reputational risk.
  • CREATIVITY AND INNOVATION: leads development for complex programs; elevates creative ambition while balancing speed cost and risk; mentors creative thinking and problem solving that ties to outcomes; integrates insights from analytics research and market trends to shape differentiated concepts; builds systems (templates review criteria critique rituals) that consistently produce work that is creative/innovative; advocates for ideas that serve business.
  • CHANNEL OPTIMIZATION: designs integrated multi channel sequences that reduce friction and lift engagement or conversion across the journey; leads structured test and learn programs and builds the operating rhythm to apply insights quickly; improves processes and standards to increase throughput quality and compliance across channels; partners with data and privacy teams to use data responsibly while improving relevance; identifies when to sunset stale tactics and where to pilot promising new ones; communicates results and recommendations clearly to stakeholders to drive adoption.
  • FINANCIAL STEWARDSHIP: oversees program budgets across multiple vendors and channels reallocating funds to maximize ROI and mitigate risk as performance signals emerge; builds clear business cases for incremental investment and communicates trade offs and scenarios to stakeholders; ensures commitments align with runway and capacity; introduces standards for scoping rate cards and service levels to stabilize cost and quality; makes tough calls to pause pivot or stop work that isnt delivering value.
  • ROI AND IMPACT: establishes program level success measures linked to business outcomes and designs experiments to learn efficiently; synthesizes insights across sources (analytics research customer feedback social listening etc.) to guide strategy and resource allocation; builds mechanisms to operationalize learnings so improvements stick.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing Communications Public Relations Graphic Design Writing Audio Video Production Digital Marketing Business Project Management or other related field of marketing and communications specialization.
  • At least five years of professional experience within a marketing communications department advertising or communications agency or related professional setting.
  • Deep understanding of the structures practice areas and inner workings of a marketing department and/or advertising agency.
  • Experience navigating (with or within) complex matrixed organizational structure(s).
  • Ability to use project management systems to track tasks timelines and workflows.
  • Demonstrated advanced proficiency using specialized software applications used within applicable area of focus (e.g. social publishing platforms design and editing CMS CRM DAM systems).
  • Understanding of relevant industry and trade regulations as well as those pertinent to marketing and communications (e.g. truth in advertising intellectual property rights and infringement etc.).
  • Direct experience with generative AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT Copilot etc.) for content generation research or workflow automation and experience enforcing policy and modeling best practices in their use.
  • Strong familiarity with analytics tools and dashboards (channel analytics web analytics campaign reports).
  • Demonstrated ease working in fluid settings managing expectations accepting and giving appropriate feedback and pivoting when necessary.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g. Word Excel PowerPoint Teams etc.).

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with enterprise business sector(s) (e.g. health higher education insurance) strongly preferred.
  • Strong aptitude for learning and working within new software applications.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing frequent keyboard use *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling bending squatting and performing CPR.
