About the Role
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Manufacturing Technician I to support medical device production operations in a regulated manufacturing environment.
This role is responsible for assembling testing and inspecting medical devices while ensuring production schedules quality standards and safety requirements are consistently met. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with precision components following detailed work instructions and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble process and test medical devices using specialized equipment fixtures tools and work instructions
Support daily production goals and customer demand requirements
Perform a series of manufacturing and testing operations to ensure products meet quality specifications
Collaborate with Manufacturing Leads and Specialists to achieve production schedules and operational targets
Participate in basic troubleshooting and problem-solving activities to support stable manufacturing operations
Identify and report issues related to:
Quality
Equipment
Materials
Processes
Production efficiency
Follow documented procedures and requirements within the Quality Management System (QMS)
Complete production and regulatory documentation accurately and on time
Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and Lean manufacturing activities
Support 5S practices by maintaining a clean organized and safe work environment
Contribute as an active member of the production team to achieve operational excellence
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to read understand and follow:
Safety procedures
Work instructions
Manufacturing documentation
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to perform repetitive manufacturing tasks with consistency and accuracy
Preferred Qualifications
Medical device manufacturing experience
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
Experience working with microscopes for inspection or assembly activities
Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills
Ability to analyze problems and identify practical solutions
Experience working in regulated manufacturing environments
Physical Requirements
Ability to work in environments containing adhesives solvents and chemical processes
Ability to:
Sit stand and walk for extended periods
Reach bend twist stoop kneel and crouch frequently
Lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to inspect and handle small components for extended periods
Strong close vision and color vision capabilities
Willingness to work in controlled manufacturing environments with required gowning apparel and hygiene standards
