Job Summary
MANUFACTURING SUPERVISOR AEROSPACE (Permanent)
Our client an international manufacturing organization whose US headquarters are in WNY is looking to hire a Manufacturing Supervisor to join their growing team.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate daily manufacturing operations including task delegation and ensuring production schedules are followed
- Collaborate with supervisors and cross-functional departments to ensure seamless operations and consistently meet or exceed customer expectations
- Mentor coach and develop manufacturing team members providing cross-training opportunities to maximize performance and promote career growth
- Create and reinforce standard work practices ensuring all team members are properly trained and consistently follow established procedures
- Communicate performance expectations clearly provide constructive feedback and hold team members accountable to maintain a positive and productive work environment
- Conduct performance reviews provide coaching and deliver disciplinary warnings as necessary
- Communicate customer feedback and complaint trends to team members to promote awareness accountability and continuous improvement
- Provide training sessions regularly and ensure team members are attending/completing and remain up to date
- Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations matters to ensure swift and effective resolutions occur
- Review approve and process employee time-off requests within payroll system; reconcile and approve weekly payroll hours within established deadlines
- Address operational issues as they arise actively participating in the resolution process
- Create production schedules develop delivery commitments and workflow strategies to optimize efficiency and productivity
- Evaluate workforce needs and effectively plan staffing levels to support production goals and delivery commitments
- Champion Lean Manufacturing principles including 5S Daily Management Visual Management and continuous improvement initiatives to improve on-time delivery reduce waste enhance quality and increase productivity
- Develop positive working relationship with the union and adhere to the terms of the collective bargaining agreement
- Ensure operations are being properly updated and documented within organizational systems
- Work well both independently and in a team environment
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
Details:
- Position is full-time direct hire
- 100% in-office Monday through Friday
- $75000 - $90000 annually depending on experience

- 5 years Supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting
- Bachelors degree preferably in an engineering discipline
- Proficient computer skills (Office365)
- Strong organization skills and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail & accuracy
- Self-motivated but collaborative and team oriented
- Relocation not available
