Manufacturing MIG Welder
Job Summary
Become a key part of our manufacturing team as a MIG Welder contributing to the production of high-quality metal products.
This position involves performing MIG welding tasks on materials such as galvanized steel and aluminum within a manufacturing setting. You will interpret blueprints collaborate with engineers and fabricators and ensure product quality and workflow efficiency. The role requires adherence to safety protocols and the ability to handle physical demands of the job.
Job Details
- PAY RATE: 21.25 hour
- HOURS: Mon-Thur 6:00am to 3:30pm and 1 2 days on Friday
- LOCATION: Reno NV 89506
- POSITION: Temp to Hire
Responsibilities
- Fabricate custom and standard products from blueprints with high attention to detail and efficiency.
- Communicate with shop manager and engineering on product issues and assist with streamlining methods for production.
- MIG weld 10-to-20-gauge galvanized steel for adapters curbs and other products.
- Conduct visual inspections of welded components to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Work closely with engineers fabricators and other team members to ensure efficient workflow and successful project completion.
- Under direct supervision spot weld metal components together.
Required Qualifications
- Familiar with safe welding practices.
- Capable of learning to read fabrication drawings with some instruction.
- Capable of welding 10-to-20-gauge galvanized steel (can be taught).
- Physically capable of loading fabrication parts onto the weld table.
- Capable of blueprint reading and interpretation skills.
- Self-starter needing minimal guidance on daily tasks.
- Quality oriented with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints tape measures and diagrams.
- Able to move objects weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Required: 1-year previous MIG welding experience.
- Able to work with a positive attitude and in a team setting.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Trade school or certification in welding.
