Description:
Major PurposeProvides support for and/or assistance with products or engineering processes. Technicians at this level typically perform basic and routine tests using existing procedures for process control and failure analysis. May provide routine analysis for materials manufacturing processes and methods and may provide guidance on test procedures to support Duties Maintain and repair plant and machinery under close supervision to ensure that operational requirements are met including conformance with regulatory and organizational health safety and environmental standards. Carry out standard installation activities under detailed guidance. Troubleshoot basic technical or operational problems by applying previously defined solutions. Perform a broad range of tests requiring detailed assessment measurement and judgment. Extract relevant data from information provided by others and input it into spreadsheets or standard formats. Extract simple/automatic data in various forms (graphs charts etc.) to include in reports. Support others by carrying out simple product development or engineering tasks such as gathering data or preparing documents. Involves following established procedures. Assess compliance with established standards and protocols for routine inquiries. Support project managers by performing simple tasks. Involves following established procedures. Organize own work schedule in order to get the job done coordinating with support services and assigning short-term tasks to others if necessary. Eustis St. Suite 120St. Paul MN 55114The Production Technician is responsible for component build integration and test of electro-mechanical assemblies of drone airborne agriculture sensors such as cameras and stabilizing gimbals. This position requires experience in electromechanical component build integration checkout and test as well as excellent organization and dedication to detail. The individual will support production schedule planning ensure timely completion of production orders contribute to efforts meant to eliminate production defects and work with engineering to improve processes and products. Responsibilities also include hands-on design documentation transition of mature designs to factory production and maintenance of existing designs. Responsibilities: Technical build assembly. Production design updates design for manufacturing. Develop and provide external documentation to 3rd party manufacturer Work with electrical hardware designers to specify size/shape connectorization indicators and user inputs to circuit card assemblies. Wired assembly integration / box build. Fault / debug. CCA programming. System checkout & test. Optical assembly alignment and focusing. Support production schedule planning. Flight testing. Document checkout test results. Ensure delivery of defect-free product. Ensure sufficient material supply to support production. Perform diagnostic analysis and repair of damaged equipment. Perform fault investigation/resolution of products. Requirements: 2 year degree in a technical discipline such as Electronics. Will consider candidates without a degree but must have 2 years of applicable experience. Part 107 certification acquired within three months of employment Ability to interpret requirements/drawings/instructions independently Good mechanical aptitude Computer literate in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint Excellent troubleshooting & problem-solving skills Ability to work constructively within a team Highly motivated Ability to scope efforts and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and organization skills Proficiency with 3D CAD tools particularly PTC Creo is a plus Additional Details Regarding Role: Change management facilitation regarding documentation between production and the engineering staff. IE Drawings Design updates etc. internally and externally Liaison between the engineering staff regarding questions and recommendations on new or existing products. Contract manufacturer point of contact (POC) and will handle all technical data package documentation for assemblies Will facilitate review implement all Quality Assurance processes with the Contract manufacture. Highest priority within workload will be to supplement production assembly builds for customer would like to see candidates with the following work experiences: Cable making assembly or production soldering or Box build Work Environment: Approximately 30% of the day spent on feet. Must be able to lift up to 50 : May be required to travel using a personal vehicle. Travel will be within a 30-mile radius of the Process: First round: Interviews conducted via Microsoft Teams (virtual).
