What to expect:
- Lead and optimize 130000 sq. ft. warehouse operations supporting capital equipment manufacturing site: raw material and finished goods.
- Own end-to-end warehouse execution: inbound storage picking packing shipping.
- Drive operational excellence space optimization and cost efficiency across a high-value capital distribution environment.
- Act as a key leader in scaling operations improving throughput and preparing the business for performance expectations.
- Lead a team of 20 employees across warehouse operations.
What we expect:
- Lead coach and develop a team of:
- 20 warehouse associates
- Build a high-performance culture focused on accountability safety and execution
- Establish clear KPIs and performance management routines
- Drive workforce planning scheduling and productivity improvements
- Warehouse Operations Execution
- Oversee daily operations across:
Receiving (including 4 daily milk runs from manufacturing)
Put-away and inventory control
Pick pack and ship (capital equipment and spare parts)
Dock scheduling and carrier coordination
- Manage 100 outbound transactions daily
- Ensure safe handling and shipping of large capital equipment
- Coordinate with white glove logistics providers for specialized deliveries
- Maintain high standards of on-time shipping order accuracy and damage reduction
- Safety/EHS
- Drive data accuracy inventory integrity and system compliance
- Standardize processes and implement best practices across operations
- Partner with IT and supply chain teams on system enhancements
- Transportation & Dock Management
- Manage dock scheduling and carrier relationships
- Optimize freight flow and reduce dwell times
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth shipment execution
- Ensure compliance with safety and transportation regulations
- Financial & Strategic Accountability
- Manage warehouse operations within a budgeted annual facility cost structure
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and productivity gains
- Track and report on KPIs including:
- Throughput
- Cost per shipment
- Inventory accuracy
- Space utilization
- On-time delivery
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Supply chain Operations Business or related field required
- Equivalent experience will be considered
- Managing high-volume warehouse operations with mixed product types
- Warehouse optimization and layout redesign
- Managing dock operations and transportation coordination
- Working with ERP and WMS systems
The annualized base salary range for this role is $98500 to $164000 and is bonus eligible. Final compensation packages will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience skillset knowledge geography education business needs and market demand..
