Job Description

• Define data standards and design and draft robust Data Governance documentation and Standard Operating Procedures. Ensure governance and decision mechanisms are in place to address cross-team dependencies and compliance across the organization.
• Work with data stewards to implement various data governance processes such as data cataloging metadata management data quality management data privacy data principles policies and standards.
• Owns and is comfortable with data governance practices and data governance and management systems. Collaborate with IT teams to implement data governance tools and technologies
• Analyze datasets to identify quality issues and ensure the accuracy and completeness of data definitions.
• Establishes the required governance structures within organization including updates to senior leadership to enforce the governance policies and standards and lead appropriate governance working groups/forums to drive consensus issue resolution ownership and agreement on data quality with respect to data assets.
• Leads Data Governance Council and project teams on implementation coordination and delegation of cross-project initiatives. Develop medium- to long-term plans and execute functional Data Governance strategies.
• Ensure the accuracy completeness and consistency of data across the organization. Monitor and maintain compliance with data governance policies and procedures.

• Bachelors Degree in a technical data science discipline or related area.
• 10 years related work experience.
• Proven ability to lead multiple data governance implementations in large organizations.
• Ability to translate complex data risks into clear business implications.
• Ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Masters Degree in Data Science Analytics or Quantitative or Technical discipline
• 15 years related work experience.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Purview Fabric Synapse.
