Job Summary

The Manager Center of Excellence provides critical support to the Global Regional and Local Customer Data Center and Internal Account/Operations Team. Responsible for being the liaison/direct link to the customer in shaping the strategic direction of the CoE program landscape to deliver standards and harmonization through effective program management and continuous improvement.

Position based with DSV Campus site or virtual location as approved by management due to travel expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages the GCM CoE activities to align CoE program development with operations across Safety Security Sustainability Quality IT Systems & Training CIP Operations Excellence Innovation etc
  • Responsible for driving and shaping CoE programs with a focus on providing best-in-class service to the customer. Develop align and implement process & tools to improve business. Lead communication strategy around CoE program scope to promote company strategy and priorities
  • Co-manage change management programs linked to the CoE program scope that supports customer strategy. Identify design and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Measure and report impact.
  • Collaborate with GCM Business Management to align overall strategy future growth and best approach for business growth and sustainment.
  • Build maintain and manage relationships across all levels of the organization and act as the senior interface at global level to appropriate stakeholders on the customer side understanding their demands
  • Help drive the GCM global strategic planning process (roadmap) and associated supporting programs. Track and ensure strategic initiatives are managed delivered and measured to meet customer goals
  • Implement CoE continuous auditing culture drive performance across all sites globally via the key metric monitoring and escalate any risks/issues.
  • Communicate proactively across business units and organizational layers to gain feedback buy-in and alignment. Drive best practice (BKM) identification and implementation

Requirements & Qualifications

  • 7 years experience in operational roles in the contract logistics industry incl. P&L accountability
  • Demonstratable E2E experience across sales strategy consulting and supply chain
  • Sufficient expertise within the account industry and high-level understanding of local market conditions
  • Business degree required. Masters degree preferred.
  • Third-party logistics experience is preferred but not required.
  • Fluent in English. Additional language skills are highly beneficial
  • Demonstratable E2E experience across sales strategy consulting and supply chain
  • Must excel at and enjoy collaborating with members of the operations team and client representatives to trouble-shoot and solve existing problems.
  • Excellent verbal written and visual/presentation communication skills. Proven interpersonal skills to develop strong working relationships at all levels/geographies
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence motivate and inspire others to achieve.
  • Ability to question and challenge existing ways of thinking. Be pro-active toward change
  • Entrepreneurial-minded self-starter capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced dynamic changing work environment. Can work independently and is pro-active
  • Must demonstrate ability to think strategically and tactically to drive cross-functional initiatives
  • Excellent organizational skills. Ability to multitask and prioritize on an ongoing basis. Program Management mindset - results-oriented and able to work and meet timelines.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office is required with an emphasis on written guidance content (Word) quantitative analysis (Excel) and the creation of presentations (PowerPoint)
