Overview
The Manager of Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioners (NP) reports to the Senior Vice President of Direct Care Delivery with accountability for providing strategy judgment organization and evidenced-based analysis to influence decisions and directly to meet Grace at Home requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
Administrative:
- Daily clinical and operational oversightclinical outcomesand productivityof theBehavioral Healthof BHNPs and LCSWteam with 0.2 FTE administrative timeallocated.
- Training and Mentoring of BH clinical staff.
Direct Patient Care:
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations assess mental health status and diagnose mental health conditions. Direct patient care accounts for 0.8 FTE of the 1.0 FTE allocated to this position
- Develop and manage individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
- Prescribe monitor and adjust psychotropic medications while ensuring patient education on their use.
- Provide psychotherapy and therapeutic interventions to individuals or groups.
- Collaborate with other healthcare providers to coordinate comprehensive care.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document progress in line with regulatory standards.
- Educate patients and families on mental health treatment options and coping strategies.
Leadership: The Manager of Behavioral Health NP will lead in defining and executing strategies and solutions to create business value in behavioral health care including building a team of NPs and LCSWs to design develop and execute those strategies and solutions to deliver desired outcomes.
Strategy: The Manager of Behavioral Health NP will establish the business strategy and roadmap: (1) improve outcomes for Grace at Home members; (2) enhance the efficacy of other Grace at Home business divisions; and (3) develop and deliver external market opportunities for Grace at Home Care products and establishing the business strategy the Lead Behavioral Health NP will define and innovate sustainable revenue models to drive profitability of the Company.
Collaboration: The Manager of Behavioral Health NP will ensure that nursing capabilities form a cohesive offering including by working closely with other business divisions to learn their needs internalize their knowledge and define solutions to achieve the business objectives of Grace at Home.
Knowledge: The Manager Behavioral Health NP will provide subject matter expertise in the nursing solutions including determining and recommended approaches for behavioral health/ solution deployment and performance evaluation.
Culture: Manager The Behavioral Health NP is accountable for creating a productive collaborative safe and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
- Education. Masters degree or higher as a BHNP or equivalent degree with a record of strong academic achievement.
- NP license in the state of practice and willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states. Must be licensed in at minimum one the states of NY IL or GA
- Board Certifications.
- Experience. At least 5 years of behavioral health experience.
- Ideal candidates will have 5 years of relevant healthcare experience in the healthcare industry.
- Communication. Excellent verbal writtencommunicationand presentation skills; ability to clearly articulate and present concepts and models in an accessible manner to Grace at Homes team investorspartnersand other stakeholders.
- Proficiencyin all Microsoft Office applications.
- Relationships. Ability to build and effectively manage relationships with business leaders and external constituents.
- Culture. Good judgement/ impeccable ethics and a strong team player; desire to succeed and grow in a fast-paced demanding and entrepreneurial Company.
The working environment and physical requirements of the job include:
Work is performed indoors in a setting with air conditioning and artificial light. Travel to and work in offices or other environments is required.
In this position you will need to communicate with customers vendors management and other co-workers in person and over devices sometimes with people who are agitated. Regular use of the telephone and e-mail for communication is essential. Sitting for extended periods is common. Must be able to receive ordinary information and to prepare or inspect documents. Lifting of up to 10 lbs. occasionally may be required. Good manual dexterity for the use of common office equipment such as computer terminals calculator copiers and FAX machines. Good reasoning ability is important. Able to understand and utilize management reports memos and other documents to conduct business.
