Job Summary

MELE requires an exceptional candidate in the Washington DC area to fill a General Management Analyst position to support the LM organization. This full-time position will be stationed at the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Headquarters building with situational telework. The General Management Analyst will support LMs Strategic Organizational Strategist Chief of Staff and LM Leadership by leading the tactical day-to-day correspondence actions. They will collaborate and provide correspondence guidance to LMs senior leaders and subject matter experts.

The General Management Analyst will manage Controlled Communications and serve as a resource and an advocate for LM staff throughout the correspondence process. This includes monitoring internal and external correspondence providing essential and supplementary eDOCS support for LM staff and collaborating with LM Executive Office.

Essential Functions:

  • Support the Strategic Organizational Strategist Chief of Staff and LM Leadership with management actions related to the staffing program of Legacy Management (LM)
  • Manage and implement tactical day-to-day correspondence work in the Department of Energys Electronic Document Online Correspondence and Concurrence System (eDOCS)
  • Develop standard operating procedures
  • Learn the portfolio of responsibilities of each office to effectively and efficiently route packages to the correct team(s) for review
  • Work closely with LMs Executive Office to originate draft clear and track correspondence packages
  • Develop and prepare presentations and briefings at the guidance of subject matter experts
  • Coordinate administrative and logistics tasks such as calendar management as requested by the LM-1 LM2 Strategic Organizational Strategist and the Chief of Staff
  • Communicate effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Development of the Business Management System (Jira) including strategic hiring and human resource actions.
  • Support management actions on Personnel Action Status Updates including recruitments details reassignments and realignments and processing service awards.
  • Perform data analysis in connection with data calls
  • Develop and support implementation of the onboarding program for new and transfer employees updating organizational charts
  • Assist with the Leahy Awards Program Employee of the Year Student Loan Repayment and Accelerated Degree Program
  • Lead and support LM organization management actions
  • Track multiple deadlines simultaneously
  • Maintain internal tracking log and data for all correspondence actions
  • All other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to work in concert with the Strategic Organizational Strategist & Chief of Staff on advanced strategic personnel initiatives strategic hiring initiatives and performance initiatives
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to coordinate effectively with the Strategic Organizational Strategist Chief of Staff and to LM leaders
  • Preexisting work in Human Resources
  • Preexisting experience with federal hiring practices and systems
  • Willingness to learn and flexibility to take on additional tasks as a member of a new and growing team
  • Located in DOE Headquarters Region with a willingness to travel
  • Ability and willingness to apply for a Q level security clearance
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Is customer service oriented
  • Outstanding team player able to work with a diverse group of people stationed in different geographic locations
  • Works well with short turnaround deadlines in fast paced office environment and is adaptable to changing priorities
  • Willingness to learn new software programs such as eDOCS WorkDay Concur etc.

LOCATION: Washington DC area situational telework with majority onsite presence

SALARY:Salaries are determined based on several factors including external market data internal equity and the candidates related knowledge skills and abilities for the position. The salary range for this position is $75K to 90K.
