Job Summary
SUMMARY
As a Refrigeration Technician you are responsible for the operation and maintenance of the boilers air and ammonia compressors condensers steam control systems and fire suppression. You will report to the Engineering Manager at our Indianapolis Bakery plant. Pay starts at $32.92 per hour.

- Chillers and Glycol
- Condensers and water towers
- Evaporators and heat exchangers
- Compressors
- RTUs
- Steam boilers
- Softeners
- Electrical and gas
- Ovens
- Electrical switchgear
- Fire Control
- Basic mechanical electrical and math skills
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Work onsite at our Indianapolis IN plant
- Willing to earn the following certifications:
- Universal HVAC
- RETA CARO Certification
- Hazmat Emergency Responder designation
- RETA CIRO Certification
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- While performing the tasks of this job you are frequently required to sit and talk/hear stand walk use hands and tools reach with hands and arms stoop kneel crouch or crawl and taste or smell.
- You must lift and move up to 10 pounds frequently lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Requires normal range of hearing and vision (including colors) to prepare appropriate reports and results.
- You may be subject to bloodborne pathogens and other infectious illnesses occupational hazardous materials and associated protective activities and donning personal protective equipment.
- Monitor rebuild and repair equipment.
- Ascend and descend from Step Ladders Platform ladders and Extension Ladders
- Notice and be able to attend and distinguish normal from abnormal noises in equipment and machinery. Listen and respond to forklift truck safety beeps and public announcement intercom system.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Pass a Respirator fit test.
