Job Summary

Additionally we provide transitional support for individuals re-entering the community after involvement in the criminal justice system. By integrating physical and behavioral health we empower individuals to overcome challenges by addressing social determinants of health fostering resilience and facilitating Operations Department plays a vital role in ensuring the functionality safety and efficiency of our facilities and infrastructure. This department oversees the daily operations maintenance and repair of buildings equipment and essential services to support the delivery of high-quality care and services to our clients and Maintenance Technician I is responsible for the comprehensive maintenance repair and upkeep of the agencys facilities including historical buildings built in the late 1800s to early 1900s ranging up to 40000 square feet with multiple floors and elevators. This position requires hands-on experience with electrical plumbing HVAC carpentry masonry and general building maintenance while ensuring compliance with safety regulations building codes and operational standards. The Maintenance Technician I plays a crucial role in maintaining aging infrastructure performing preventative maintenance diagnosing and repairing mechanical electrical and structural issues and working with exterminators to mitigate rodent RESPONSIBILITIESGeneral Maintenance and Repair of Buildings Facilities Equipment and GroundsDiagnose troubleshoot and perform repairs on mechanical electrical plumbing and HVAC preventative maintenance to extend the lifespan of building and maintain doors windows floors roofs stairways and other structural minor carpentry masonry and painting tasks as building safety standards are met through inspections and scheduled promptly to maintenance service requests from tenants or or repair defective or aging parts including wiring heating components plumbing fixtures and ventilation & Pest Control ResponsibilitiesIdentify report and collaborate with pest control professionals to mitigate rodent preventative measures to reduce infestation risks such as sealing entry points and improving & Compliance ResponsibilitiesEnsure compliance with OSHA regulations fire safety codes and ADA routine building safety inspections and report issues requiring a clean safe and hazard-free work & Vendor CoordinationIdentify maintenance issues that require external specialists and notify in obtaining quotes and arranging vendor services for specialized maintenance Ticketing & DocumentationUpdate maintenance tickets daily in the ticketing system to ensure proper to and follow up on maintenance tickets in adherence to the departments Service Level Agreement (SLA) to ensure timely completion of detailed logs of repairs inspections and preventive maintenance other duties as :Education Credentials and Experience Must have a high school diploma or least 3 years of hands-on experience in facility maintenance including work in plumbing electrical HVAC or building working with pest control professionals especially for rodent issues is a 10 or 30 certification is preferred but not Skills and AvailabilityKnowledge of maintaining older buildings aging infrastructure and mechanical to read and understand blueprints technical drawings and schematics is preferred.
