Job Summary: Maintenance Apprentice. Entry-level role supporting the maintenance team in a manufacturing environment. Assists experienced technicians with the inspection repair and preventive maintenance of production equipment to ensure safe reliable and efficient plant operations while developing foundational industrial maintenance maintaining and repairing equipment to ensure smooth production operations.

Essential Functions Responsibilities
Assists with the inspection troubleshooting and repair of production equipment used in window manufacturing operations.
Supports preventive maintenance tasks including cleaning lubrication adjustments and basic component replacement.
Learns to diagnose mechanical electrical pneumatic and hydraulic system issues under supervision.
Helps perform basic repairs on machinery such as conveyors cutters assembly stations and sealing equipment.
Follows all safety procedures including lockout/tagout (LOTO) PPE requirements and OSHA compliance standards.
Uses hand tools and basic diagnostic equipment to support maintenance and repair activities.
Assists in maintaining facility systems such as compressors ventilation and utility equipment.
Documents maintenance work performed including repairs inspections and parts usage.
Supports organization of maintenance tools parts inventory and work areas to ensure efficiency and safety.
Demonstrates continuous learning in mechanical and electrical systems
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Education
High School Diploma GED or equivalent experience.
Related certifications preferred
Experience
Previous manufacturing experience preferred but not required
Skills
Basic mechanical aptitude with willingness to learn electrical pneumatic and hydraulic systems in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to safely use hand tools follow technical instructions and adhere to safety standards including lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Strong problem-solving skills attention to detail and ability to work effectively as part of a maintenance and production team.
Work Environment & PPE
Fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery and glass-handling areas.
Requires standing/walking for extended periods while assisting with equipment maintenance and repairs.
Must follow all safety procedures and use required PPE
Physical Demands: Medium to Heavy
